    Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSW)

    The Federal skilled worker program is Canada’s Immigration flagship program. Applicants are assessed based on six selection factors. If they score high enough and meet other requirements, they can submit an Express Entry profile. Once in the pool, they will receive a comprehensive ranking score system (CRS).

    Federal Skilled Trades Program (FST)

    Unlike the FSW, applicants under the FST are not assessed on a point system, however, to be successful applicants must meet a set of minimum requirements, including an offer of employment. The FST does not exist in Quebec.

    Canadian Experience Class (CEC)

    The Canadian Experience Class allows applicants to pave their way to permanent residency. To be eligible for this program, the applicants must meet the minimum requirements related to their Canadian work experience, and language proficiency.
